Change of topic

Grand babies aren’t they the best. Why is it they melt your heart like nothing else? Don’t get me wrong I love my girls and raising them was the greatest time in my life but nothing beats being a grandma (Mimi). He tries to sign always moving his hands. Family (non-signers) ask what is he doing with his hands? Then they invent reasons “oh he is going to be a worker…”. We tell them he is copying my signing that he sees daily but they can’t comprehend that. 

When I heard he was coming I was nervous about communication. I loved reading to my girls and talking about everything with them, how would I connect without a voice. I met a sweet lady that has a deaf son, and she helped with ideas. Like, don't pressure myself to read the words of a book just the idea or pictures. I still wish I could talk to him, but we connect in other ways.

We also give him Purium he loves it and has for some time. He is not a bottle baby so right now he just gets spoonfuls. His mom was on it her whole pregnancy and had an amazing delivery and recovery which she attributed to Purium.
